Starbucks lost a customer
My wife and I have a bad cappuccino habit. Started while on a visit to Italy. Continued when we returned home. Gets expensive to buy two a day from a coffee bar. This machine came highly recommended. For once the recommendations were on the money. It makes good cappuccino, is modestly priced and after some trial and error makes cappuccino as good as most coffee bars. Instructions that come with the machine are clear and have pictures to make the procedure clear. Just follow the instructions. Bought three essential tools to go with the machine. A good heavy weight, aluminum tamper. The plastic one that comes with the machine is wimpy. Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09H24D5YQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also got a stainless steel frothing pitcher to use in steaming milk. Better than anything you have at home. Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KFYXTRR?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Lastly, bought a coffee canister designed to keep ground coffee fresh. Works well. Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H38T264/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Making the perfect cup of cappuccino is by trial and error. Took me about ten tries. First, get the right espresso coffee. Tried some Italian versions. Not so good. Settled on Starbucks espresso, dark roast. Not ground to a powder like some espresso coffee, but works well in this machine. I’m too lazy to grind my own beans. Next, the right milk. Many coffee bars use one percent milk. We found it too watery. Changed to whole milk and that works fine. The amount of frothed milk you add to the espresso affects the strength of the taste. I suggest you don’t add all the frothed milk in the pitcher to the top of the espresso cup all at once. Try 3/4 full. Probably too strong. Then keep adding the frothed milk in increments until you find the right amount of frothed milk that satisfies your taste. You don’t have to buy this. But you need two cups. Any cup to capture the steam coming from the machine and a 12 ounce cup for the espresso/cappuccino. The 12 ounce cup has to be wide and not high so it will fit under the spouts where the espresso comes out. Tip. Turning the handle while on the machine was hard. A tiny drop of vegetable oil on your finger tip, rubbed on the edge of the cup containing the coffee, before inserting it into the machine, makes the handle turn easily. Doesn’t effect the taste. Just use a tiny smear. All in all, this is a great buy. The machine makes 12 ounces of fine cappuccino in the convenience of your own home. I timed the process. Took me 15 minutes total in preparation, making the cappuccino, and cleaning up. A bright spot in our daily routine.

Look no further
This machine makes great espresso, it’s simple and fast and well designed. I bought more expensive one on here with similar specs and it didn’t even last a month. It was loud and the espresso was worse quality. Sent it back and now I’m in creamy, frothy espresso heaven! This is the one. Cheap, works great, tastes great.

Great budget buy
I never leave reviews but finding a decent espresso machine took a significant amount of leg work so I figure this may help a person or two. Iâve owned this for ~2 months now and can confidently leave a review for everything except durability (will check back in around 6mo). In short, this is a great machine to purchase on a budget and I recommend it for those who are looking for an easy way to make decent espresso/lattes at home without needing a ton of counter space. With only 4 buttons and a lever for the froth, itâs really straightforward and quick to use. Iâm satisfied with my lattes every single morning and have saved a ton of money just by introducing this machine into my routine. With that being said, there are quirks with this machine and some trial and error is to be expected when brewing for the first few times especially if itâs your first time making espresso. The first quirk is that shots will come out lukewarm (and not tasting the best) if you donât give ample time for the machine to heat up. Reviews mentioning this are 100% true. I usually give this thing ~5 min to heat up and thatâs enough time for me. Next, if you use the frothing wand prior to pulling a shot, the machine will over pressure, the fix is super easy so just avoid making that mistake during an early morning brain fog as it will cost you time. You also canât froth while pulling a shot which makes sense for such a simple machine but thatâs really the only thing I wish was different. Overall, owning this is a million times more enjoyable than spending $6-7 on a latte that may or may not meet your expectations at a coffee shop. At this point, Iâm very satisfied with this machine and donât see a good reason to âupgradeâ to a more expensive machine. Only the test of time will dictate this.

Best for the price
Researched a lot of machines before buying our first one. We wanted an inexpensive one in case it didn’t catch on in our lifestyle but this one is so easy to use, clean. Love how compact it is. Does everything you need. We bought a grinder separately and use this every single morning. Love it.

The Espresso machine that beats more expensive models hands down!
I have used this extensively over the past 10 days. This is an excellent value Espresso machine. It has a small footprint( I could put a burr grinder next to it and it took less space than the old machine). If you follow the instructions, you are assured of a rich crema and tasty coffee. You do not even need to use the steam wand( and if you do, it works!). The portafilter and holder are well-designed. The locking mechanism is perfect and predictable. The Pressure display is cute and it shows the espresso is being formed as designed. Cleaning is a snap. It looks elegant and seems perfect even for small countertops. 5+stars!

It arrived a week ago and I had been making my own latte everyday and loving it. Itâs relatively easy to set up and use. I also bought a few other accessories to make my coffee corner look nice 🙂

I have this espresso machine about 2 weeks, would say it beyond my expectation!first, the design is slim and modern. The stainless steel construction not only adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen but also ensures durability. the pressure gauge adds point too.second, easy to use and make a good espresso. the coffee knob is not too tight and hold the position just perfectly. The tastes of espresso is above average, I didn’t expect it could tastes like those made with a thousand dollars machine, but it dose!last, the product service is superb! I received warm message from seller the next day when I have the machine delivered. the message provided all the e-version of introductions and trouble-shotings. I asked questions and got responded always in hours., this give me confidenc for the long lasting use.all in short, I like this beautiful machine and would recommend it to every espresso lovers.

Only used it a few timesâ¦and Iâm new to making my own specialty coffees, but the product came with a great âstart-upâ set of instructions of what to do before using and an equally great set of instructions as how to use and clean. The seller sent manuals electronically and instructions of what to do if the product didnât form properly.First latte was absolute blissð. The machine works great and with having such a small footprint I am going to take it camping with me.

First time making espresso and this is the machine I chose for its compactness as counterspace was limited, so I have nothing to judge it against. However, I haven’t had a single issue with this machine and feel it’s very beginner friendly. The size is a great feature as I find a lot of espresso machines take up a huge amount of counter space. The pressure gauge is extremely helpful too, as it is able to show you how much pressure you’re putting into each brew so you can see if you’ve put in enough (or too much / too little) espresso in. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a simple / beginner espresso machine, or even just someone looking for a manual machine that doesn’t need all the bells and whistles the more expensive machines come with.
