    Great little coffee grinder!
We liked our first one so much we replaced it with this identical model! It took a long time but the blade on the first one cracked… This is a sturdy hard-working little grinder and I highly recommend!

The best coffee grinder, by far
After five years, I am starting on my second Cuisinart Coffee Grinder. While on the surface that might not sound like a raving review, it is. I used my grinder every three days for five years and last week, despite the clear marker for full level, I overfilled it and burned up the motor. I accept full responsibility and I promptly replaced it with exactly the same model.
I tried to replace it a few months ago. Not because it doesn’t grind perfectly, but because I have to stand there and hold the button down the entire time to run the motor. When I first bought it I tested grind times and found that I get the perfect consistency at three minutes. A safe button that requires you to hold it down is probably ideal to many, but I see it as three minutes I could spend eating my breakfast or feeding the dogs — three lost minutes. I bought several different coffee grinders and returned each one. They simply did a poor job on grinding the beans, even at their finest settings. (I make espresso, so I want an extremely fine grind and the other models just couldn’t do it.)
For all you reviewers who complain about half-ground beans, try grinding for longer. It’s a simple fix and is as designed.
I highly recommend this product and just about any other product with a Cuisinart logo. Good, sturdy, dependable equipment.

    Good, but a little messy
I don’t have the problem with uneven grind that has been reported by a couple of other reviewiers. It seems to be best to grind with the cup at least half full. Lesser amounts won’t grind as fine. You can grind all day and never get a powder, but it’s a fine grind for regular day to day use.
The only real problem that I can see is that the ground coffee will make its way past the blade drive mechanism in the bottom of the cup and makes a mess underneath. When you take the cup out you have to clean this out or when you try to reseat the cup it won’t fit correctly. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice if they had gone to the trouble to engineer this in a way that would not allow the coffee to escape the cup.
Tip: grind for 5 seconds, stop, grind for another 5 seconds, stop, repeat until you get the results you want. This seems to work better than just grinding away for extended periods as the pause and restart seems to mix things up for grinding better. I’ve found that about 3 or 4 of these 5 second cycles produces a very acceptable result. Grinding for too long causes the motor to begin overheating, and you can smell this happening, but it’s not really necessary to grind it that long. After about 15 or 20 seconds it won’t get any finer anyway.
Not the best on the market, but it’s not a $200.00 grinder either. For $30.00 it’s an above average deal. I give it a “thumbs up.”

    My favorite coffee grinder
I really like this coffee grinder and have had this exact same model for years. Recently I noticed that I had a crack in the piece of plastic that holds the blade in the grinder so I bought this replacement for it when it finally dies since the product is discontinued and they want more for just the chopping bowl than the entire grinder itself.
For those that complain that it is messy etc, they are simply lazy.
Grind the coffee until you no longer hear grinding, and then shake the top before you remove it from over top the grinder.

    Did not last 6 months!
I really liked this coffee grinder until it broke this week. I bought it less than six months ago and from the photo that I submitted, you can see that the blade broke. I had an old style Cuisinart coffee grinder that I had for many years and I had to throw it away because the cord frayed at the area it was attached to the grinder. I loved that one and thought that this one was great too until the blade broke. I am going to see if they stand by their products and if I can get another one but I doubt it!

    Second time to buy
I had one of these grinders for years. It finally gave out and I made the mistake of choosing a different model. It was so unsatisfactory that I discarded it. I did more looking and realized that this one was still available. So I am happy again.
I love the removable grinding cup and plastic cover lid. And it holds a good amount of beans. In my opinion it is perfect.

Removable bowls should be standard for all coffee grinders
This coffee grinder grinds spices and coffee beans pretty well and, thanks to its removable bowl, it’s easy to keep clean, meaning you’re not restricted to grinding one type of food only. The lid seals the bowl tightly so there are no bits leaking out and accumulating all around. Two minor issues are that the blade isn’t removable (but it’s still easy enough to clean) and the grinder itself is a little bigger than it looks in the pictures so check the dimensions before buying. EDIT: As of 03/2024 the Product Info section says this grinder is 230V. It isn’t, Amazon needs to fix that.
