We are really enjoying this expresso machine. Itâs such a nice size and performs very well with daily use. The filter does really well without any coffee grinds getting through. Learning how to use it was not difficult and came with simple instructions which I needed. It never leaks or show any faulty issue with it and it is easy to take apart and clean. This was a great buy

Mold in your coffee
Bought thus for the wife for valentine’s day. She started noticing discoloration when cleaning where the coffee goes. This went on for a few days. That and she started getting sick every time she had a coffee. Sore thought, feeling like crap. She bought a coffee this morning and passed on using the machine and felt great all day. I recommend not purchasing this machine. We have never had this problem with other espresso machines. Also our house had a full house filtration on it. So has nothing to do with the water since we do everything else with the water.

Easy to use!
I love the design and how modern the machine looks. This is my first espresso machine and so far the instructions have made this easy to use/leveled the learning curve. Excited to continue to use this!

I had never heard of this brand before receiving this machine to review, so I had no idea what to expect. Iâve tried a lot of these inexpensive types of machines, and I own 2 high-end Italian expresso makers, one manual (my all-time favourite), one semi-automatic. To my surprise, this little machine is capable of producing a complex but balanced espresso that holds its own against anything my high-end machines can produce. The crema is rich and thick, and the machine is also able to froth milk easily, although it does take some skill to work the wand properly. This is a basic model with no bells and whistles. Your choices are single or double shot, plus milk frothing. It heats up to 198ºF in less than a minute, and I really like the digital display that tells you exactly whatâs going on with the temperature. It took a moment to get this machine working when I first tried it, but the instruction manual is very good. For first-timers, the manual also includes a great trouble shooting guide for the machine, and it also explains what to do if your espresso is too bitter, or too watery, for example. The machine itself appears to be well-made â itâs not the most high-end, but everything about it is well-done. I love the European bistro-style design, and I especially love that it takes very little space on my counter. The portafilter doesnât feel very substantial, however thereâs a screen filter integrated into it which makes it almost dummy proof once you figure out the right ratio and tamping pressure for your taste. A nice feature is that you get a perfect sized single or double shot at the press of a button. To get an allongé, you just press the button again. The space under the portafilter is designed to accommodate two small espresso cups or a normal sized latte bowl, so just note that a large North-American style coffee cup wonât fit. This machine has really impressed me, and Iâve been using it every day because I love the simplicity of it compared to my fancier machines, and my morning cuppa tastes just as good. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive model that makes great coffee.
And donât call me Shirley –
This is my second espresso machine – both having and using one. My first one, a different brand, was considerably larger, fancier and more expensive than this one is- it even made iced coffee. I wound up giving it to my daughter eventually, one: because she loves it and two: because it was much too complicated for me. Learning how to use it was an ordeal (the manual was massive) and in the end I really never felt comfortable or confident operating it. I LOVE this unit specifically because it is SO easy to use. You absolutely do not need an engineering degree or any previous experience as a barista in order to operate it well enough to produce a satisfying beverage, and learning how to do so was simple. The included instruction booklet is literally four pages long, cover to cover, and that’s including pictures. Basically you just need to fill the water tank, turn the machine on and let it heat up (takes one minute) while you fill your coffee filter, then select one shot or two and, while the coffee is brewing, prepare your steamed milk. It did take me a few attempts to make a cup of coffee I was truly happy with, but I think some trial and error is to be expected with this sort of thing, especially with someone who doesn’t have a whole lot of experience making these kinds of coffee beverages. I hate drinking straight up espresso but I love cafe au lait, and now I can easily enjoy one whenever I want in the fomfort of my own home. Everything needed was included, except for coffee and espresso cups, and cleaning the unit it is pretty easy, as far as these things go. In terms of construction? Well, I am certainly no expert, but the unit I received seems well made and neither looks nor feels cheap to me. Aside from the water tank, it is almost entirely made from stainless steel. My only minor complaints would be how noisy it is while in use and how difficult it is to remove the filters, but what can you do? Bottom line? Compared to other units it may not have all the bells and whistles, but for the price point it definitely ticks all of my boxes – it is easy to use, has a large water tank that doesn’t require filling daily, it’s (relatively) easy to clean, it makes an enjoyable cup of coffee, and it doesn’t take up a ton of room sitting on my counter. Honestly, for an affordable machine I love it!
Review Gal –
This would be a five-star review but for a couple of minor annoyances. Firstly, the suction feet on the bottom are not just useful, but mandatory. The reason is that the portafilter is a very tight fit and you have to really get some strength behind locking it in place and the machine can move if not suctioned down. This may loosen up with use, but I am not sure yet as I just received it yesterday. It looks so nice on my coffee counter, really high-end. The quality of the finish is top-notch. The size is very compact, which can make for issues of its own, but I appreciate this as it fits my counter space without overtaking it. So it is a trade-off I am willing to make. What do I mean by that? Well, I cannot fit a full-size coffee mug under the portafilter basket. You need to use an espresso shot glass or cup and transfer the coffee into the larger mug. Yesterday I used a shorter teacup-size mug (in the photos) and it fit, so maybe shorter mugs are good too. This morning, since that cup was in the dishwasher, I used a bigger mug and needed to do the transfer method. The milk frother works as it should, but it may take some practice if you have never used one before. I used to work in a French Bistro when I was younger, so I knew what to do to make a nice dense foam. A video or two and you will know what to do too. Overall this is a decent and well-made machine for a budget price (as espresso machines go) and I recommend it. The coffee was balanced, it made a good double shot in the right amount of time for pulling a shot of espresso. I used plant-based milk and it worked perfectly. I suggest wiping down the steam wand after every use so you don’t get crusty milk on it. Use a thick dishcloth as it will be HOT. I did a quick spurt of steam afterward to clear out the nozzle too. The portafilter is easy to clean. Simply knock the puck out in a knock box or compost bin, or whatever you have. (Ensure the little notch is not aligned for this part or it will just fall out.) The tamp is not the best. It is not substantial enough to get a solid 20-pound tamp on the fresh ground coffee, and it is a little small, but if you finesse it a little you can pack the grounds in well enough. Ensure they are evenly dispersed for the best coffee. An uneven tamp will not allow the water to flow evenly either. Again, videos are your friend if you have no experience. It is worth it though, to learn how to make your own espresso-based drinks at home. A decent little machine that looks great and works as it should. No issues aside from what I mentioned above. My Review Guide:âââââ = Wow. I love it.ââââ = Hey, this is pretty great.âââ = Meh. It’s okay but I don’t love it. Someone might like it.ââ = Not great. Best to avoid.â = Nope. This is bad.

The machine itself seems to be of very good build quality. Everything is solid, and attaches/releases with a nice feel & sound. By this alone, it felt like the much more expensive espresso machine that I used to have.Learning to use this espresso machine was relatively easy. My SO was very intimidated by our previous much more advanced espresso machine (in terms of technical performance and features & functionality), which she stayed away from. With this, she was happy to give it a try and found it very easy to pump out espressos in only a few tries. The noise level is a bit loud, more so than other espresso machines, initially I thought that was great, but then I wonder if that means itâs under powered. The 20 bar max pressure this machine can achieve does show itself in the good tasting quality of its espresso. However, no matter what my SO and I tried, we couldnât produce espresso with thick crema – just a very thin slight crema on many different types of coffee beans, including several thatâs supposed to produce lots of crema. We also tried using different grinders and grind sizes, still no luck. However, for us, the lack of crema doesnât seem to have much of an effect on the taste, at least to our taste buds. The milk frother works fine, but I couldnât get it to produce the very fine frothing to a level that I could use it to create latte art (I could do this easily with another well-known global brand of espresso machine). To produce the taste profiles that we desired, we did have to make about 10 runs with different settings, but eventually we did find something that we both liked. The one thing that we both did wish was that the machine could have produced the espresso at a higher temperature.

I was unfamiliar with this brand until I received this machine for review, so I didn’t know what to expect. I have experience with several types of machines, including high-end Italian espresso makers, both manual and semi-automatic. Surprisingly, this compact machine can produce a well-balanced espresso that rivals the quality of my high-end machines. The cream is thick and rich, and the machine froths milk effortlessly, although mastering the wand may require some practice. This model is simple, offering options for single or double shots and milk frothing. It heats up quickly to 198ºF and features a convenient digital display for temperature monitoring. While it took a bit of time to get the hang of this machine initially, the instruction manual is comprehensive and includes troubleshooting tips. The manual also provides guidance on adjusting the taste of your espresso if needed. The machine is sturdy and well-crafted, with a charming European bistro-style design that doesn’t take up much counter space. Although the portafilter feels light, the integrated screen filter simplifies the brewing process once you find the right ratio and tamping pressure. The one-touch button for single or double shots is a convenient feature, and the machine can also prepare an allongé with a simple press. Keep in mind that larger North American style coffee cups may not fit under the portafilter.Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this machine and would highly recommend it.
