Bialetti – Moka Espress: Iconic Stovetop Espresso Maker, Makes Real Italian Coffee, Moka Pot 6 Cups (6 Oz), Aluminium, Silver
The original moka coffee pot: Moka Express is the original stovetop espresso maker, it provides the experience of the real Italian way of preparing a tasteful coffee, its unique shape and the inimitable gentleman with moustache date back to 1933, when Alfonso Bialetti invented it.
Made in Italy: it is Made in Italy and its quality is enhanced by the patented safety valve which makes it easy to clean and its ergonomic handle, available in many sizes and suitable for gas, electric and induction (with the Bialetti induction adapter plate)
How to prepare the coffee: fill the boiler up to the safety valve, fill it up with ground coffee without pressing, close the moka pot and place it on the stovetop, as soon as Moka Express starts to gurgle, turn the fire off and coffee will be ready
One size for each need: Moka Express sizes are measured in Espresso Cups, coffee can be enjoyed in Espresso Cups or in larger containers
Cleaning instructions: the Bialetti Moka Express should be rinsed simply with water, after use. Do not use detergents. The product should not be washed in the dishwasher as this could cause damage to the product and affect the taste of the coffee.

    Worked great!
I bought the 6 cup version. First, please know its not 6 -(8oz) cups. It’s more like 6 full shots. This size of pot will make just over a full measuring cup (8 -10oz) of coffee. Solid built. Not thin materials. I tried another brand that looked nearly the same but it did not perform as well and no matter how hard I tightened the pot onto the bottom water reservoir, it still sputtered and leaked water. I returned it and bought the Bialetti. It made wonderful espresso (I use illy dark roast ground Intenso). Some say to not press the ground coffee into the holder, but I did apply gentle pressure to mine – not hard tamping like you would with the more expensive espresso machines, just a gentle press. I found the espresso came out a bit richer tasting.Because the rubber seal in the first Moka pot of another brand I bought did not seal well, I researched and learned that many people replace the original seal with a silicone seal of which I have provided a picture of with this review. I highly recommend purchasing and replacing the seal that comes with the Bialetti. Not that it was bad, but I didn’t want to take any chances with it and there was zero leaking or sputtering from the the sides of the moka pot with the new seal. Well worth it.Though you don’t have to, I preheat my water in my water kettle then pour it into the moka pot not to exceed the level of the pressure valve inside the water reservoir.Next, I fill to the brim the ground coffee holder gently pressing down on the coffee and then topping it off till its level with the edge. Make sure there is no coffee grounds on the rim because you want a tight seal.Place the coffee grounds holder into the water reservoir taking care because the reservoir will be hot to touch. I use a dish rag to hold onto it while I screw the top carafe part on. Make sure its on tight.Next, I place it on my burner, medium high temp. Make sure the handle part is not over the flame or heat and just put it at the edge of your cooktop burner. You don’t want it burning. It takes about 2 min or so for the carafe to fill. When its done you will hear sputtering sound. I will lift the lid just enough to see if any more coffee is coming out of the tube inside. Usually there isn’t and its done.Remove from heat being careful to keep fingers on the black handle only as steam can escape at the lid hinge and let it sit for about 1 minute. Then pour and enjoy! Let the moka pot cool down before unscrewing it or just use a rag to hold it and unscrew it if you need another pot right away. This pot made excellent espresso like I drank in Italy, Prague, and Budapest. I initially bought it to have a way to make coffee if I lost power…can use a Coleman camper stove or your gas ran stove top.Its easy to clean, just rinse out with warm water and dry with a paper towel or rag. No soap!!! Some people don’t ever rinse theirs out but I found my espresso tasted better if I rinsed it all out with water only.I hope this helps someone! Enjoy your coffee!

☕️ Classic, iconic, and quality ☕️
This is the classic moka pot. There is a ton of history behind this product. It’s straightforward to use and takes time to master. It’s durable with a mostly metal construction, doesn’t leak when used properly, and is lightweight.Moka pots make an espresso-like coffee. You can get crema out of fresh beans and a strong flavor with a rich mouth feel. Like espresso, moka pot coffee is strong enough to be mixed with milk or water. For the price, this is the closest you’ll get to espresso without jumping off the high dive 😉.Here’s some tips for using a moka pot:- Use pre boiled water in the lower chamber. This reduces the amount of time for the brewing to start.- Use a piece of filter paper before the metal filter. You cut coffee filters or use aeropresso filters to increase the clarity of your coffee.- Try to surf the coffee flow. Once the coffee starts to flow, try to keep it flowing slow and steady. You do not want the brew to stall or start to spit/sputter. If it goes to fast, lift it from the heat and if its too slow, lower it.Go brew some tasty coffee! ☕️

    Great for iced coffee lovers.
Moka Pots are ingenious little things. Put water in the bottom, coffee in the center basket, and the heat of the stove will force the water through the grounds to the top. This pressure gives it an espresso-like strength. While I don’t drink the espresso-style coffee hot, I do like to pour it over ice/milk and whatever flavoring I may have and drink it cold. This is actually a great use case for a Moka Pot, because it’s a concentrated type of coffee, which means you use less of it to make a stronger iced drink. This preserves your ice and keeps the drink from being “watered down”.If you compare this to something like a Keurig’s iced coffee function, or most standard coffee makers, they rely on over-extraction (more heat, slower brew times) rather than pressure to produce a stronger brew that can withstand diluting in ice. You end up with more melted ice in the drink, and the coffee is unfortunately bitter and not “strong”. It doesn’t taste very good. The Moka Pot isn’t perfect. It can bubble and spurt and make a bit of a mess on the stove. It requires you to pay attention to it (a big dealbreaker for many). Requires a finer grind that may not be found in typical bagged coffee that’s designed for drip makers. Your own grinder is recommended to brew up fresh beans.Economically, it’s the best way to make concentrated coffee at sub $100 price point. Take the money you’d save on not buying a fancy coffee machine and get a good grinder instead.

    Motto Bono
This is the third one of these I’ve purchased over the years. The first two were just used hard and finally gave out after years of delicious coffee. I also have a six cup I use when camping. Simple, practical, efficient. Makes a very nice shot of espresso without the complexity of an espresso machine.

    Perfect coffee every time
After researching and shopping every where I decided to buy the original. I have tried various other Moka pots None compare. This unit is beautifully crafted and makes a wonderful addition to my coffee bar. Truth be known, if i bought this first I wouldn’t have all my other coffee equipment. I start every morning with a Moka. The coffee produced from the Bialetti is clean, full flavored, with a wonderful texture. No leaks, it spitting like some of the other brands. Replacement seals are easy to find if you need them.

Cute, but makes a super tiny amount of espresso
I love this item, but it produces very little espresso. Works good and looks cute, but may not satisfy those who like a large espresso drink.

É bonita, robusta e prática. É incrível a sua construção e qualidade, inclusive, é bem pesada quando comparado com as similares. Essa capacidade usou o equivalente a 25g de café na moagem 12.
